| P002: U.N. World Tour |
|
The United Nations Secretary-General chartered WestWind for an
international tour to help unite the world and raise the profile of
the U. N. The Tour visits the capitol city airports of 190 countries.
The delegates will be welcomed by leaders of the host country and there will be
a flag ceremony.
You determine the number of delegates. The minimum delegation is six members. The list of the required designated capitol city airports of 190 countries and a sample flight plan is available at the WestWind Forums Download Section. Use this link: Revised List of Country Capitol Airports for Charter P002 as of March 7, 2008. Pilots must fly to any 190 of the 194 Country Capitol airports printed in black on the revised list. Charter P002 has 193 legs: Leg 1 - Depart from any WWA Hub or Mini Hub and fly to KJFK. Leg 2 through Leg 191 – Board the U.N. delegates and fly from KJFK to any 190 of the 194 designated capitol city airports listed in the download. Optional locations in red on the list are for your enjoyment but do not substitute for the 190 designated airports. The Tour itenerary is at pilot's discretion. Fly in any order and any routes you wish. Leg 192 - Return the delegation to KJFK from the last capitol city on the Tour. Leg 193 - Return from KJFK to the Hub or Mini Hub from which you originally departed. Use the Flight Dispatch System to check-out and check-in each Charter P002 flight to each of the 190 designated capitol city airports on the download list. Add "P002 UN World Tour" to your flight check-in comments. If a capitol city airport runway is too short for your aircraft, land at the nearest airport with sufficient runway length. Transfer some delegates to a smaller aircraft and fly them to the listed capitol city airport. After the visit, return the delegates in the smaller aircraft to the larger airport. Reboard and continue the Tour. There are no travel restrictions. Safety is not an issue. Phil Cohen, WWA1573, HM MIA, DCS - C. & So. America posted his flight route in the Flight Tales Forum. The title of his post is UN World Tour Step by Step. Read it at http://flywestwind.com/communityserver/forums/thread/12863.aspx If you complete charter P002, you may apply for the U. N. World Tour Pilot Recognition Award. Your flight log will be checked to verify you flew to and landed at each of the 190 designated capitol airports listed on the download. Use the Flight Dispatch System to make sure your flights are posted on your flight log. Select an aircraft from the list below, including the CRJ-200 or any Historic Aircraft. If you do not own a BBJ, our WWA ground crew is able to customize the interior of any Boeing 737 to match the BBJ for this charter. Charter aircraft use GA (General Aviation) parking or ramps. Our B752ER, may use a gate at the end of a terminal wing. You have the discretion to take breaks from flying Charter P002 in order to fly Hub or Cargo Routes, Charters, or On-line flights and Events. When you take breaks from flying P002, leave your tour aircraft at a capitol city airport. Take a virtual jump seat ride on an aircraft going to the departure airport of your break flight. Afterward, you take a virtual jump seat ride back to the capitol city where you left your tour aircraft. Proceed with P002. That is how continuity is acomplished. Post your question in the Flight Operations Forum or write an email to the EVP of the Executive Charter Division or to any of the Directors of Charters. The Flight Tales Forum is where to post your charter flight progress, experiences, and screen shots, if you wish. Screen Shots may also be posted on the Photo Forum as well. Enjoy! Have fun! | P009: International Relief |
|
Disease outbreaks, cyclones, earthquakes, hurricanes, monsoons, tsunamis,
volcanic eruptions, drought, and other disasters strike anytime, anywhere
worldwide.
Ground crews convert your aircraft interior to transport relief personnel in and survivors out. The relief personnel may be international emergency and health organization staff. Or, your passengers are private civilian doctors, nurses or other medical personnel. And your cargo holds will be loaded with relief supplies. Countries around the world participate in relief efforts. You have choices. Depart any WWA Hub or Mini Hub, or depart any major city in the world. Fly to the disaster site. Drop off the aid workers and supplies. Board injured survivors and medics who care for them during the flight. Fly to any major or medium size city airport in the world where hospitals are ready to receive patients. Return home. Charter aircraft use General Aviation (GA) parking or ramps. Our B752ER may use a gate at the end of a terminal wing. WestWind Cargo delivers tons of relief supplies. If you prefer to fly cargo check out a WWA cargo flight and WWA cargo aircraft. It is WWA policy that pilots may fly anywhere in any WWA aircraft. This is a great application of that policy. Thanks, Captain.
