Pilot Satisfaction Survey - October 2007

What could your Hub Manager do to improve your hub's operations?

No thoughts here.

Bill is a great guy and he really needs to do nothing to improve

I guess help promote the hub a bit more, to get our roster to full capacity.

Generate incentive interest, that is aimed at enhancing the skills, and advance training.

Since I am a hub manager, I will not comment on my own hub's operations. But I would like to say one thing to those hub managers who like to search the flight logs of pilots in other hubs looking for "cheaters": if your own hubs are so perfectly managed that you feel you have nothing better to do than to help manage the other hubs, give yourself a big pat on the back and go fly! Let the rest of us manage our hubs the way we see fit. If our pilots prefer your style to ours, they'll vote with their feet.

Hard to say ... hub events?

More fly ins

Nothing. He has gone above and beyond the call of duty. I have moved recently for a new job and have not had much time to get on the sim. I was nearing the Inactive list and I received an email about how close I was. That really helped me I feel.

don't know

Nothing. Mark's a great Hub Manager. Has helped me many times.

I would like to see some more activity from my hub manager in the forums.

Some kind of regular mailing/news/update would be nice. Something to encourage more online flying as well would be nice. So far I've only seen 3 Seattle-based WWA pilots on VATSIM while I have been working Seattle Tower or otherwise - those would be myself, Travis (the hub manager) and Bryan Kuchinski (who is also an ATC student at KZSE).

Andrew is doing an awesome job. Thanks for updating the CVG flights.

I am a HM

I would like routes added to KRNO for the winter ski season.

Undecided.

Too early to comment

i dont know i started just 4 days ago and things seem fine

The very occasional e-mail would be nice. The previous manager was a little "over the top" with this, bombarding us with statistics and exhortations to do better too frequently!! But, he was very young and super-enthusiastic!

Can't think of any thing right now.

No ideas, I consider the hub sufficient as far as routes etc.

Atlanta hub manager, from the time I have been with WWAL, has been nothing short of receptive and responsive.

Nothing, he doing a great job

Add more destinations and aircraft.

Nothing

Don't know of anything.

Add a regional hub at Perth to service fly in - fly out mining operations

He seems to be trying pretty hard right now, being a fairly new HM.

At this point, all I can think of is to continue adding real flights. It would be interesting to see how many real flights are made out of the hub in real life, the to and from locations, and the exact type of aircraft flown for each of the flights. Also, I would love to have WWA certify a helicopter corps, designed specifically for helicopter flights, as well as a float plane corps (I'm having a time finding helo pads or float plane areas on my charts).

No problems

Nothing

Too new to tell.

Seems OK to me.

??? He needs more help from his assistant, whose swamped right now with real world stuff WHOOPS, THATS ME :)

Nothing! He's been great.

No suggestions right now.

he is the greatest, he taught me approaches himself for 2 hours

I have been a AHM and HM of Frankfurt and Amsterdam and liked the team and you have alway one or two difficult members, they stay or leave anyway.

nothing

Nothing at the moment.

I have yet to have any problems, so I suppose nothing.

He is a great hub manager, certainly far better than I was during my tenure.

Too new to system to make that call.

COMMUNICATE

Keep the (London) Forum more active. Post hub stats every month.

nothing

Good hub management

Have a WWA hanger and ops center (KBOS)

see above

Mayby we can have a photo galery in our hub area so the hub members can share there pitchers and experiances with the hub members.

I really like our new hub manager.

The Hub manager is doing a great job.

NEED MORE FLIGHTS WITH STOP OVER FOR REFUELING TO DESTINATIONS.

I am the hub manager

Not sure, don't know the exact position/duties he fulfills.

Be more active in the forums.

I honestly don't know.

Nothing too much.

communicate more

Only one thing for all hubs, charts of the terminal showing where our gates are...

I am the hub manager, but the Director of Hub Operations, Bob, most of the time until his promotion, has done a great job

Den Forum dead. Why should I read it, nothing in it? Last email was awhile ago.

Change the New Zealand mini hub from Auckland to New Zealands central Airport, Wellington. Allowing flights thru out NZ, North and South as I had suggested.
The way it is at the moment either you fly to Auckland or from Auckland.

I feel he does a great job

Hes doing a good job.

make more contact with his pilots. so far, all i have recived is a "welcome aboard" message.

unsure at this time

Nothing, hes doing a great job.

Compose some more Cargo routes out of our hub. Currently there are only short distance flights for the Beech 1900

Try to get some more pilots active.

Flying for one. Both HM and assistant HM don't fly a lot. If you are going to be in such a position you need to lead by example. Correspondance from these people are also non existant other than a monthly report. I would expect more activity on the forum to be proactive in encouraging people to fly more and advise them of activities available. I would also expect some follow up on those who lapse into inactivity to try and determine why people aren't flying westwind any more. There may be many reasons but knowing why may help improve our service. For reference, Sydney hub.

I haven't been around Westwind enough to give a reasoned response.

Nothing.... extremely satisfied!

set goals for the hub

Just got a new one so I can't comment at this time.

None that I can think of.

I think my hub manager doing all the work and he is very active and he is alredy improving the hub operations.

noting our Hub is just fine

We should have assigned gates that we are to use for WestWind flights

Nothing really. Both, the past HM and our New HM in Miami are great!

Hard to answer since I'm the Hub Manager

A regular (monthly?) update welcoming new pilots and announcing pilot upgrades would be nice. Operationally this is probably not necessary, but it would be nice to hear from the HM once in a while.

I really don't hear from Tim. I assume all is well.

Not Applicable

Doing fine

He could be a bit more active on forums, but I know he's busy. Other than that, he does a great job.

My hub, JFK is doing fine.

My hub manager could be a little more active, He seems like such a quiet guy, ohh and KSFO opps would be nice to see

doing fine

Doing a great job! No suggestions.

IDK it's a good hub.

Unsure ATM

Send out more correspondences I suppose.

Again not been here long enough all seems well at the hub may try for the Asst Hub mg

Well, since im a HM, i wont comment on that...

Not sure at this time
