What do you like about WestWind Airlines?
I like the varied types of flights. I love the awards. For instance, the award P002 is much of what brought me to WestWind.
I love the whole community, the planes, the scenery, and the willingness to help.
The members' attitudes and willingness to help
Freedom to fly anywhere we want to. The fact that I knew nothing about flying a plane before I joined and within a few weeks I was set and how I will always keep learning as long as there are people out there willing to share knowledge.
1. friendly and competent colleagues
2. open schedules, so I can fly when I have the time and what route I'm in the mood for
3. fleet and scenery
4. forum
The vast amount of aircraft, being able to fly wherever, whenever. the fact that it has been around for 11 years. the people are all nice. a realistic flight dispatch system that gives you info to make it more realistic when flying. and also the fact that we have a Teamspeak server in which we can all talk and have a good time and get to know each other better.
the ease of obtaining aircraft, the pilots that help without hesitation! everything!!!!
I like the fact that all the staff is nice and friendly, and the executive commitee actualy gets things done
I enjoy the scheduled flights, the realistic training.
The easy of downloading along with varietythe aircraft.
Easy to use interface, most pilots I fly with are freindly, good spread of availible aircraft to fly, many different routes to fly.
Being able to fly from nay Hub in any part of the world. The aircraft hangar is great clearly much effort has been put in to update the FSX aircraft this is a huge credit to all those involved. Ease of "pireping".
lots of active people flying in the forum & on VATSIM. Also lots of aircraft & if you are creative just about any flight you do can count to your hours at westwind
The flexibility of being able to fly whatever route we want, the fact that VATSIM is not a requirement, the variety of hubs, and the friendly group of people.
It is easy to be a part of the airline. Good website, scenery and aircraft. And of course good people,
How professional everyone is. The training center operation. The large number of aircraft available. I like that I can fly anywhere anytime with out constraints.
"Professional" attitude displayed by everyone. Management not too oppressive - after all it is a "game" even though we simmers take it so seriously! Smart airplane livery. Services provided i.e. AI WW aircraft making the Airline "present" at all the airports I fly into. Web site easy to navigate with plenty of information. The cat that one can fly as much or as little as our "other" lives allow!
Ease of flying
Adds fun and "real world" interest to FSX.
The diversity and realism of the operations. The fact that there are many 'roads' leading to the same 'destination'. The community and the close knit family we have. I also like the range of aircraft and routes open to fly. Above all, I enjoy the fact that WestWind is always uptodate with technology. Finally, it is something i can enjoy!
The fleet and the ease of scheduling.
great aircraft to fly.more fun in flying with ww not so many stringint rules.
Routes and variety of aircraft available
The enthusiasm WestWind pilots have for this virtual airline. Even though it's a sim, people take it seriously enough to make you feel like you're a part of a company while still keeping the element of fun in the equation.
Nice routes, alot of activity, very cool website.
The number of free aircraft is huge, as is the effort by the aircraft department to produce more. The number of routes to fly is huge, and coupled with the charters means you can fly virtually anywhere any time.
Diversity of aircraft and ease of use of FD system. Great IT
I loke the helpfull and nice people here.
It's a fun first VA
I like the flight dispatch system along with the realism of the flight plans and aircraft.
The wide variety of flights and aircraft available. The realism. The flight dispatch system is a major improvement over the old PIREP system. The management is plus too!
I like the organization and the awesome facilities, like the training center and the downloads center. Generally, I just like the look, feel and atmosphere of the airline. Its like you fly for a real airiline, and since I'm only 14, that's as close as I can get to being an actual pilot at my age. So, I also like the realism of operation of a real airline that the site gives.
Freedom to fly whatever pleases you
Fun routes, fun planes. I like the flight dispatch system.
The openness of the flight system. I can flight where I want, and as I work up through the ranks, I can fly the planes I want to fly. There's no assigned routes, which is refreshing.
It gives me a chance to act as a real airline. Also the active people are really great.
Web Search.
Freedom
The A/C all seem to work well. The flight sign in/out procedure is simple. I like reading the other pilots remarks.
Everything is well-thought out and organized. Also, its easy to find anything that you need, or get a question answered.
wide variety of aircraft and flight ops, freedom to fly routes and times that fit my schedule, all the friendly and competent pilots I meet online. Thanks to Westwind I do all my flying on VATSIM, which I didn't realize existed vefore I joined Westwind.
Also, I relly don't know how long I have ben with Westwind, I think about 4 years, maybe more. This is the only VA i have ever flown with, and will remain so.
I've also noticed that someone has been doing a lot of work on the flight dispatch system, and I do love it! thank you.
There are great people here and I am given the flexibility to fly routes I want when I want to fly them.
All the routes and the abundance of different aircraft to fly. Plus the fact I have the freedom to fly anywhere I wish.
the possibilities, the help, the information
The people. Selection of Arcraft. The challenge.
I can fly any route + charters. Good planes. No one telling what I route must fly. Don't have to bid on flights.
Not to strict, lots of friendly people
you can do any flight you want.
It has FSX aircraft. (and a lot of other good things)
That I can fly the routes that I want to fly.
Can check out on flights to most of the places I like to fly.
Options, growth, interaction without constant fussing, options, options.
Realistic flying, purpose to my flight time.
The fleet
Well organized
The structured approach and the attempted simulation of real-world airline operations. Also, the Westwind pilots who fly on VATSIM are some of the best pilots on the network.
aircraft, available routes and destinations, the companies professionalism.
The aircraft livery is the main reason I joined in the first place. I have yet to see livery that I like better. I have had a WWAL aircraft as my default, FS plane ever since joining up with WWAL.
I like that all the pilots are friendly, and that the administrator really want to help us to get the most out of this virtual experience.
organization and follow ups to remind me to fly
I enjoy the growth and the new technology that WestWind has been using to better the airline.
The varety of flights and the hub locations.
Freedom of choice, where to fly, when to fly and which aircraft to do it with.
Not associated with a real world airline.
As real as it gets
the fly ins and always being able to find someone online to fly with.
the web page is really well done also
Great Aircraft, Great scenery d/l, Great management, great routes
Flexibility to fly on-line or off-line. Management philosophy of the VA. Fleet AC available. Lack of pressure - this is a hobby after all.
Friendliness of the other pilots. Feeling like I am part of an important company
laid back attitude
The realism of the management. I like having to work my way up; it gives me something to work towards, and you feel much more responsible.
It is the best and has a long history.
Professionally organised, free, offers a sense of achievement.
The forums because everybody is so quick to help
So far everything.
the people,forums,ideas
i can fly from any airport to any airport at any time
I like WWA's structure, attention to detail and great designs.
THE VARIETY OF ROUTES
The schedules, the aircraft, The minimum of 1 PIREP a month, (I usually fly once a week). A great group and team of FS enthusiasts.
Ease of checking out, flying and logging flights.
All the planes for FSX. The FSX hanger is a lot better than other virtual airlines.
Great aircraft, routes, accure time and rank, being part of a VA, Forums to discuss Flt Sim and Westwind, support from other Westwind Pilots and Management.
Freedom to choose your own flights, selection of aircraft, Teamspeak
WW is very well done. I.E. graphics, bringing on FSX AC, dispatch system- easy and very profesional.
Most of all the friendly atmostphere. My hub manager has always been helpful and encouraging.
The people who make up WestWind. The ease in reporting your flight time. Those who want to cheat will cheat. Please don't make it a requirement to fly only listed flights and file per those flights. I only fly for WestWind off and on line due to the gentle airline that we are.
The aircraft. The variance of routes.
Aircraft selection. I can get in and fly or I can do a complex flight plan. Everyone helpful. Never have I received an "Off The Wall" reply to a question.
Gives me both a more structured way of flying at the same time it gives me flexibility in choices of where to fly and what to fly.
My association with the airlines has been and continues to be very rewarding. It is my space where I can relax and enjoy the virtual world, and meet real people and learn new things.
Lots of hubs throughout the world. Lots of routes. Flight Dispatch & logging system
Primarily the people here and the organization.
I like the friendly and professional people we have and WestWind's commitment to realism.
Great organization
the realism
great support. I like to fly in my local area and i'm able to do that with the numerous local flights or routes.
To new to the system to have formed a qualifing opnion - so, far so good - still checking out the web site.
Diversity of aircraft, routes, amount of flexibility within the airline.
Hub locations and wide variety of routes from short regional flights to long distance international flights.
I like the wide variety of operations to choose from and having the goal of building my total time through completing those operations as a way to keep interested in this hobby. Prior to joining this airline I fooled around a bit with Flight Sim, but it lacked any sort of purpose, which made for a very hollow pursuit. I suppose just about any virtual airline offers something like that, but this is the one I chose (and I didn't exactly do a lot of comparison shopping), mostly because of the discussion news groups (back in those days it was on Usenet), and because I saw from the management photos that its members were not just a bunch of kids.
The availability to fly a wide range of aircraft.
The support I get from my hub Management team.
Team Speak, and the people who help us newbies learn to fly!
The choice of flights.
The training available.
The choice of Aircraft.
The forum.
The Leadership.
I like the aircraft the logo and my hub[in boston]
The people and the aircraft
Diverse fleet. Airline, cargo, and charter divisions. Lack of restrictive rules and regulations.
The freedom to fly many different methods. The people.
Varied routes and operations types (i.e. Pax, Cargo, Charter)
The structure looks good, well thought out. Lots of info, good menu system.
Aircraft library and installation, good flight schedules for cargo and passenger flights, good forum, enthusiasm !
The huge variety of routes and the good selection of airplanes.
Its just a Fun way to add a little realizm to FSX.
I love the professionalism here and the layout. I also like how it is one of the most renown VA's around.
Westwind is small but not to small, and ALL pilots are very freindly, encouraging and helpfull
Lot of aircraft
Diversity
Great sense of community, aircraft look great and its a pressure free, fun time.
The flexiblity!!! Everyone can take out of it what they want, or don't want.
Nice community, easy going and fun to identify with.
Companionship for love of flying!
It's realism, plus it's interface is real easy to get around.
I like the aircraft. I also like that you can fly off-line, if you want to. I really love the flight dispatch system.
The Complete organization from aircraft through scenery!
I like WWA for it very detailed information and the freedom to fly whenever.
Tradition hence recognition in VATSIM
Airline keeps improving, therefore has dynamic people
Hub managers very helpful
Diversity of the fleet and ease of downloads of quality aircraft. The dispatch and route structures. Cargo and charters and the diverse schedules.
Its relistic and every one is very freindly and helpful
Aircraft, routes
I enjoy the "real world" environment, both with the offline and online flying experiences. I have learned a lot about flying and have found to some amazement, a little frustration at times, and a lot of satisfaction that some of the flights I've flown (along with the delays at airports awaiting clearance)truly simulate the real thing! I feel more like a pilot today (a dream I've had since my early youth) than ever before, thanks to WWA. I also enjoy the comraderie.
I like hsving other people for a resource for me. I also enjoy the hints and tips I get.
Open scheduling
For the ost part, things work like they are supposed to. Pages are updated, files are current. And everything is professionally done.
excellent organized virtual airline, lots of flights to choose, excellent hangar, good informations in forum,
Fun, Friendly, always getting better.
flight planning, aircraft
The camaraderie, and the fact that VATSIM people seem to recognize that the WestWind pilots know what they're doing. I also like the upgrades to the website, the flight dispatches, and the friendly management.
Freedom to pick flights
The ability to be an active member of the staff, and participate in discussions with other pilots.
Lots of routes and flexability
very organized, good teamspeak server w/ lots of help
Time freedom (do flights whenever you can day or night). Professionalism. Online Technology (PIREP's for example - quick and easy). Good variety of aircraft.
Not overly restrictive with the routes that can be flown. I like that you can fly both helicopters and fixed wing. There is a pretty good mix of props and jets and pistons. I like flying the smaller props the best. I like having Chicago routes to my real world airport at KCID. I like the carters a lot. I like flying VFR and many charters tend to support that. Some A/C have virtual cockpits which I really like.
I like that it has an easier training course and less requirements. Other virtual airlines I have tryed to apply for have too many requirements, such as some require I fly online, but I have dial-up which makes this difficult.
Belonging to one Airlines and flying under those colors
TRAINING BETWEEN RATINGS.
The freedom to fly whenever and where ever i want
