FSCopilot multi-core "help" for FSX vs. FSX SP2

Is the FSCopilot's multicore optimization voodoo possibly interfering with SP2's own multicore support?  I was flying online last night with ActiveSkyX, FSInn, FSCopilot, and TrackIR running.. noticed that every few seconds my frame rates would drop from 20+ to about 4.. and then back again... changing CPU affinity for FSX to CPU0 and ActiveSkyX to CPU1 helped, but it seems like with SP2 I shouldn't have to lock FSX to CPU0 anymore, should I?  is FSCopilot's multicore "optimizations" (written for original pre-SP2 FSX) getting in the way?
