for what its worth, i'm running vista (and loving it) with both FSX and FS9 and have the same problem, and i'm not using norton.

avast! made problems to me also. I thought that it's the best but installed AVG free and I'm happy with it! Maybe A LITTLE less protection, but no problems at all now! (that are caused by the antivirus...)

I'm pretty sure that fscopilot 1.7/fsinn 1.3 are designed for FSX.  I'm not sure that those versions will work with FS9.. I'd suggest using 1.6/1.2 which are the currently supported versions that are compatible with FS9, at least last time I checked..?

 

i use fscopilot 1.7/fsinn 1.3 on an xp machine with fs9 and all is right with the world.  i dont realy have much time lately to play around with vatsim, so i think im just gonna leave well enough alone and use my PC.

I'm using Avast with Vista HP 64 and so far have had no problems or conflicts.
