I have not done it but if I understand the documentation correctly there is a button at the top right of the RC screen where you go to load saved flights.

You may find your answer here:

    http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=135&topic_id=25654&mesg_id=25654&listing_type=search

This is the Radar Contact Forum at AVSIM.COM.  I haven't save a RC flight in FSX. According to this thread, you may need to point RC to a specific location. If this doesn't answer your question, ask on that forum.  JD is great about getting back with an answer, as you will see when you look through the forum. I found this thread by doing an advanced search of the RC forum using keywords "loading saved flight".  Hope this helps!

Re: Trying to increase my realism

Scott, you also have to tell it where these saved flights live. You do that by clicking on FLT/WX Path on the RC screen prior to saving the flight.

Re: Trying to increase my realism

Sorry for posting my question twice on the same thread, but no one responded to me before.

Does anyone know if FDSFX works with FSX?  I want to have some confirmation before I tamper with the program files (which I hate to do! Stick out tongue)

Also, does anyone know how to save .cfg files in vista.  Everytime I try to edit and save a file in my program files foler, Vista does not allow it.

I didn't respond for two reasons:

    1.  I don't know what FDSFX is.

    2. I don't have Vista.  From bits of information I have seen about Vista, my guess is that you have to logged on as an administrator to save a .cfg file. .cfg files are considered to be system files, therefore only authorized persons (administrator) are allowed to mess with them.

I just made a flight with FSX and saved it with RC during the flight. Here is what I had to do to resume at the point in the flight where I saved it:

    1. Make sure you tell RC where the FSX saved flight files are located:  \My Documents\Flight Simulator X Files

    2. To save the flight, press CTRL-SHIFT-;  Within a few seconds you should see the file name appear briefly in the Adv Display Window (Same window as the RC Commands)  Now, just to be sure it saved to the correct location, use the windows explorer to go to the My Documents\Flight Simulator X folder and look for the file.  It will have the extension .RCD  If it is not there, then you may have to change your keyboard key combination. The default worked for me.

    3. To reload the flight, you will need to either start FSX fresh, or if already running, selet END FLIGHT.

    4. Start RC and click the Load Previously Saved Flight button. The progress bar will fill from left to right, but you will not get any indication that the flight has loaded.

    5. Go back to FSX and click on the LOAD button, then select the saved RC flight. That flight will now resume and within a few seconds the Adv Display window will open with the message "Radar Contact Ready", then the RC commands will appear. From there on it is just the way it was when you saved the flight.

This procedure is different that for FS9, and I hadn't saved any flights in FSX, so I had to play around a bit to figure it out.

Re: Trying to increase my realism

Ok,i think i figured it out.Reinstall didnt help but like i said when i load a saved flight from RC i get one bar and it stops. After a cou-ple minutes i get a message saying it cant load flight such and such.If i go back into FSX though the flight is there where i stopped and all is ok.kinda wierd and i dont think its suppose to work like this but it does so i guess it is what it is.

That's what I got if I loaded the flight into FSX first. But, with FSX running, when I load RC first, the progress bar goes all the way (except for One last segment), then I go to FSX and load the flight. I think what happens if you load FSX first, when RC tries to load, it fails because some of the files it is looking for have already been load into FSX.  Just a guess! I need to spend some more time in the RC forum.  I never used that feature in FSX because I just don't fly FSX very much.

EDIT:  Now that I think about it, I did save and reload a flight when the FSX version of RC first came out. It worked just like it does in FS9, but then FSX-SP1 was introduced. That's when all of the troubles began. All of the programs that linked with FSX could not handle SP1. I had to wait for those other programs to be upgraded.
