    Cross-Country Nav Malaysia

Here is a VFR cross-country nav from Simpang WMKF south to Johor Baru WMKJ for you to try.  Try not to use GPS just use NDB and VOR for nav.  Can you remember how?  The trip will take you out of the heart of Kuala Lumpur; depart using rwy 22 you will see the Petronas towers to your 4 o’clock.  It is a great trip, you will also see KL international airport, it will be on your 3 o’clock shortly after departure.  Don’t worry about airspace all that has been taken care of so sit back and enjoy the coast and the Klang Valley (9 o’clock).    I hope you enjoy this ride it really does make a change from flying Heavy metal, sometimes we all forget the joys of VFR all that it implies yes flying the aircraft…….next trip will be the east coast.  When in Johor Baru stay for a day or two take a trip over to Singapore take the Bus or taxi its a great trip, by the time you get back you'll be ready for the East coast     Enjoy.

Why not try going back to your flying roots.... yes get the Cessna 172 in the air remember the joys of flying once again, oh and try not to get that sinking feeling you know the one that goes where the F...........flip am I.Big Smile

    Dmitry

Well I know you are going to visit soon so I thought you might like to do some sight seeing and a bit of VFR I think chris is still down here so maybe he'll like to get back to his roots good old VFR flying.  See you soon.

Good idea Brent I think we all need to brush up on our skills now and then.  It sometimes seems that all we do is push the LNAV and sit back then push LOC VOR and then wait a bit the hit the APP button I know it is not that easy but really it is nice to fly a small aircraft IMHO.  Hope the nav aid refresh goes well Wink

    All the best
