Hi and question on online remarks

    Hi all,

I'm still new to WWA and recently also joined an organization called the Virtual Pilots Association (VPA).  The VPA is not a virtual airline, but as its name would imply, a pilot group, from which many of its members fly for virtual airlines, including WWA.  When flying online, VPA members are encouraged to list "Virtual Pilots Association" or "Opr/VPA" under the remarks section, in addition to whatever callsign/Flight/VA the pilot is flying under.  If I fly with my WWAxxxx callsign and list "WestWind Airlines" under the remarks section, would there be any problem using either of the additional remarks mentioned? To clarify, the VPA is NOT a VA, so there should not be a direct conflict of interest.

Glad to be a part of WWA - thanks for the input!

WestWind does not attempt to regulate what you do when flying online with VATSIM or other online services. So, no problem as far as I am concerned.

Re: Hi and question on online remarks

always good to put "westwind airlines" in the remarks, though, as not all controllers know what WWA is.  In fact, the sweatbox "fake atc" training server that they use to train controllers has a bunch of fake traffic that instructors can call up, taken from callsigns seen on the live net, and some are WWA, and my own instructor didn't know what WWA was (he does now ;) ).
