WestWind Airlines

After talking with several server admins, we have concluded that the WestWind Teamspeak will be shut down, effective 2/12/2008. This has happened for a number of reasons..

• Drop in pilot turnout and new faces
• Amount of times being hacked and had to recreate
• The first reason of creation, for management meetings, has been found out not to have worked and is rarely used by management.

I am sorry that it has come to this, but I really dont have the time to create the server from scratch every 6months due to hackers. It seemed to work for a while and then died off. It appears the best way of communication for our pilots and management is on the forums and by email due to the ever so changing schedules of people.

It has been great getting to know many of you on the TS server and I hope to keep in contact with many of you...

In BOTH Squawbox and FsInn, you can send a private message with the ".msg" command.  Follow the command with the callsign you are sending to, then your message.  Ex:  .msg WWA1745 Hi Bill!

This opens a chat window where you can text back and forth.

Well that's quite a shame actually...

But I suppose with poor turnout (yes I was one of those people that rarely came on) and plus I kept losing either my username or password for the server (multiple occasions).

plus I thought that whenever I went on there were only like one or two people on (probably due to me deciding to come on at a time when everyone else is doing somthing.

But before I go overboard - it was a superb server and it will be sorely missed by a few people (how else would I have joined WestWind in the first place )
