WestWind Airlines

I just did transition course in denver. I went their as a passenger, but now I wanted to come back from their. Just for fun I want to fly all the way, also to get some experience flying on US airspace too.

Now I'm flying a 'Embraer 145XR', which has a maximum range of 2000 knots. So can anyone advise me of a route from which I can easily get back to my hub?

I tried for Hawaii too, but i cant find it through my flight planner :-|

The shortest "great circle" route to Hawaii from the US is going to be from San Francisco.  From Hawaii I think Marshall Islands is within your range, and from there try Papua, New Guinea.

thanks Mark, but the problem that I'm facing is there is no way i can go to Hawaii directly from San Francisco, cuz I cant stretch my aircraft beyond 2000 nm. One way that I just found to get to Hawaii first is through Alaska (Anchorage), from there I can go to Princeville (Hawaii) which is 1986 nm. But then again its very difficult, as I would have just 14 nm fuel left in my tanks.

Any suggestions for the directions that how can I get from 'Princeville' (HI01) to Australia (any nearest airport).

Yeah, I flew Oakland to HNL awhile back using the Citation X and it was just under five hours according to my log.

You could go east.

I think Mark may be on to something there.  You may want to go the long way to Sydney, by going up through Gander, then Greenland or Iceland and into Europe and down through the middle east and Asia........

Yeah, somebody flew from England to Australia in the 1920's.  Can't recall who, but if someone did it in an old bi-plane, I think a ERJ will be able to make it just fine.

thanks, will start planning right away, but I'd rather go west, going through canada, then russia, then through china and then all the way from indonesia will enter into northern territory of Australia. Then will hop along the eastern cost for sydney.

I know its way too long, and by the time I'll reach back home it'd be time for me to do transition training for CAT-III, then have to go back to denver :)

But if i get Cessna Citation 750, then my trip would be way shorter, if i follow mark's route through hawaii, as it has range for more than 3000 nm, but i cant find its complete model.....

But yet again it would be my first new experience. Flying is fun... :-D
